Shoone Appreciation Day!

He really is kind of adorable when he’s sleeping. Of course, I would never tell him that. His head is already big enough as it is , and the last thing I want to do is give him ideas. I’ve watched him sleep when were kids. He would crawl into my bed saying he had a nightmare, when we both knew it was just because we couldn’t stand to be apart for a second. Boone was my protector, even back then.

He was supposed to protect me from Sabrina, the key word there being supposed to. Its funny how things didn’t work out. After we got older, we promised we might give this a try after we got out of the house. We thought that things could even be normal, maybe actually be a couple away from the eyes of Sabrina. No more secrets, no more hiding, just me and Boone in New York, alone for once.

God, I really was so stupid. Did I really think it could have been a fairy tale? That we could just get away from the wicked stepmother and live normally ever after? Things are bound to be bad when your life resembles a Sarah Michelle Gellar movie.

Actually, Boone is way better looking than Ryan… that’s not the point.

Things could never have worked. I watch him as he sleeps, watch his lips curl up into that crooked little smirk that kills me; and think: Did it really turn into this?

I loved him once, and sometimes I think I still do. I love him, but I hurt him. Just like he hurt me. I know he didn’t mean it. he never wanted it to be this way, just like I didn‘t. I should tell him that I love him. I just can’t. I can’t because after all this, there‘s no way he could still love me.
